Why did you get into personal training?
"At my peak, I was pushing 300lbs on the scale. it was so embarrassing walking around like that everyday- I felt like a pig. Playing football in high school turned me away from wanting to do anything remotely close to physical activity, let alone weight training. I hated being “ fat” and I honestly thought there was nothing I could do about it. I started going to the gym with my friend a few days a week and I fell in love immediately. Three years later, I’m walking around at 175 lbs. I am proof that it is very doable. Showing up is the biggest thing that I’ve learned through my journey. What do I mean by showing up? Walking through the front door of that gym, sticking to your diet plan, and getting your cardio in. That’s showing up and setting your self up for success. Remember, "even the smallest of things are putting you one step closer to your goal."
Favorite cheat meal?
"DEFINITELY a meat lovers pizza from Dominoes- instead of red sauce, use bbq and add some onions. Your welcome."
Hype song?
"Oretes(live) - a perfect circle Door to door cannibals - CHEVELLE LOVEGAME - lady Gaga"
Biggest pet peeve?
"My biggest pet peeve would honestly have to be judgment- especially judging someone in the gym. I’ve been judged my entire life. It’s something I’ll never understand. If you’re in the gym and have no idea what you’re doing, I won’t judge you. You’re doing a lot more than most just by showing up to the gym."
Why train at Metroflex?
"Oh man. I could go on and on about how great Metroflex is and the community involved. It’s the best gym in town, hands down. The 24:7 access, the smaller gym feel, the metal clinging of the weights, loud speakers, the aura, and the overall vibe it puts off is like no other. The people there are so nice and helpful. I make new friends daily! It’s like a family there. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else."
